We live, we learn.

February’s stab at two writing challenges was not the smartest choice. I understand now that I must create a schedule that supports new time commitments in order to get these things done. Nevertheless, I’ll continue with the Platform challenge as an ongoing feat to improve my “presence” online.

Writing Update

I’m currently working on rewriting/polishing my NaNoWriMo novel from 2010. I brought chapter one for critique at my writing group last month for its debut before readers. They didn’t say it was awful, but it needs a lot of work. The best thing that came of it (aside from the critique) was that it inspired another writer to revise a novel of her own. I feel confident about the work, though my fears and doubts make me want to quit sometimes. It challenges me but when I’m writing, I know this is what I was born to do with my life.
Join me for April’s poetry frenzy!

  1. Sheez, writing a poem a day would be my ultimate challenge, & I guess that's what it's supposed to be. I'm trying to let go of perfect in my life, and the thought of doing something that doesn't go through a zillion rewrites (like this PAD) already has me in sweats. Pant!
